Got Rust?
I DO.
These are my before pics, I've got another tub and an extra firewall, but have to become a metal surgeon to put it all together. And so the saga begins..... Drivers side...WOW! Pass. side is much better...yeah right. This is gonna be great!

Re: Got Rust?
I thought thats what there supposed to look like after almost 40 years?? it should not be that bad if you have a new tub and firewall. Id love a new tub I spent about the same in repro sheet metal as a decent tub would cost. (enough for free shipping from LMC $$!!) for mine and I have the same or more rust as yours in that area. except for the doors mine are good. put up the pics as you pull it apart and brace it up or the firewall and windshield will fall off when you go to unbolt and lift it off.
alot of us are in the same spot and may all have sheet metal surgeon PHDs soon enough.

Re: Got Rust?
Wow, I will never ever complain about my dime and nickle sized holes ever!!! I would walk right by those Blazers (Sorry, I do not mean to be rude). I am a certified welder and my skills are good (Not like some of the masters here, but I am into steel not sheetmetal, big difference!) and I'd still run away.

Re: Got Rust?
Mines worse...
I'm not proud of that, but I know this is not a restoration project. My new floor will likely be diamond plate from the firewall to the tailgate. Good luck with your project.
