There ia an installed pic of the green monster for my friend, Chuck:lol:
Also, I stripped the headers and brackets down to bare metal, primed with VHT header primer, and painted.

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

HA! Busted. Well if you haven't read it in another thread, a few of us went up to Indiana today to drop in on Todd68Chevy. Trucks were talked about, parts and money swapped places, burgers (and chicken sammiches) were eaten, and a good time was had by all. I scored some interior parts I needed to finish up my ride (for now, lol), and everybody found something or another they needed ( or could use, anyway, haha). Todd was very hospitable, and had a lot of good parts and good prices, too. I highly recommend him. I will post some pics, as I plan to hit it hard this week, got a deadline coming up!

Hey you guys are welcome anytime. Good luck with your project and we will see if we can all meet up down there sometime. Maybe a swap meet, Southeastern Truck Nationals or just a weekend away. I still have plenty of parts and stories for your next trip back up here. LOL

Hey Cubber, really like your build. Thought I'd offer some help on the link in your signature.

To get this --> My Build

Do this --> [*URL="http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=540844"]My Build[/URL*]

Just remove the '*' at the beginning and end and you're good to go.

The level of camaraderie on this build is awesome, inspiring really.
I picture these guys showing up all excited to work like they are striking gold with a big ass grin on their face, I only wish I had guys like that around me.

Thanks! The one on the top left, with the 4 round holes, how wide is it?

5150 01-06-2013 03:43 PM

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

It's about 6-7 inches, I'll get an exact measurement.

5150 01-06-2013 04:24 PM

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

Matt, I was way off, it was 8 3/4. I know I just opened a can of worms to make an inline 6 joke, so have at it.

LOL, I hadn't even thought about it. Let me do some checking, that is definitely a prospect. Do you think there's enough room at the top to punch two holes for the guages?

cubber 01-06-2013 05:38 PM

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

I think I could put the guages between each pair of holes, and cheat them towards the top to buy a little room. What do you think?

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

You could put the gauges in the middle and drill another hole on each side. What's the measurement of your gauges.

Your're right! I didn't even think about that, DUH. The guages are 2 1/4. I bet it would work great. What do you want for it?
