joe231 06-29-2009 12:23 AM

Re: project 62

they both face the passenger side so maybe you could rig up a sideways ejection seat for un-wanted passengers

Actually that's the 2 speaker boxes I had built to fit under the bench seat. I stood them on their side and set them between the seats for now. I'll build a center console and then mount the speakers in the front of the console!

Re: project 62

Well no progress just another slow down.. A guy didn't see a car turning in front of him until the last second and he locked up the brakes and i tried to do the same but the ABS had a different idea and thought i should just slow down just a little bit. One of our border jumpin buddies jumped out and yelled no cops no cops in mumble English and jumped back in the truck and took off... Even though it was all my fault for hitting him we both went our separate ways but this is what a lowerd truck looks like after plowing a Nissan titan..

DUDE THAT SUCKS!

I guess it's good that you didn't have to call it in to your insurance company but what a drag man!!!!!

I don't know how bad the damage is but would you be better off putting the truck you just bought back together?

See, dude, this is why I don't like to lower em!!! Raise them sum*****es up and just go over the top!!!!!!

 yeah but then it would have bent the frame.. these trucks are known for easily bent frames...
the frame is screwed on parts truck or i would. All i need to switch out is the core support fenders and hood. Wonder if i can find some 99-00 escillade parts...

Re: project 62

That sucks man, glad your ok.

I like the idea of the Escalade front end though! Hmmmmm

scotts62 07-07-2009 05:44 PM

Re: project 62

Yeah im really tossing that up, i really like the looks of them. Anyone know a good place to get parts for that? I looked on ebay lastnight but it seems to be full of the kind of idiots that have a price of say, $60 and the shipping charge of $85 on just a headlight.. I was a reporting fool lastnight

JohnC 07-07-2009 06:38 PM

Re: project 62

I'll talk to a friend of mine that rebuilds wrecked cars and stuff, and see where he gets some of his stuff. I know certi-fit has some stuff, but with doing the whole front end it may get kind of pricey. I'll let ya know.
