Hey, that's a hatchback. I had one of those for my first car. I've only seen a handfull of hatchbacks. '73 or '74?

Its a '73 hatch... 350,auto, buckets and console. Wife is stoked..lol. Got side tracked for a day hammering up an anniversary present for the wife.. This started off as 3" copper pipe and 1/4" copper tubing. (and some wheat from my field)

Well... got the wifes car home. Among other parts packed inside the car were almost 3 complete black interiors. Bucket and bench seats in near perfect condition. Set of new trac bars, new rockers, new carpet, extra fender and rear bumper, custom and SS interior parts. A replacement tail panel and spare rad cradle. Floors rock solid from front to back.

Nice work on the copper rose! I'd wish you luck with the new project but i know you don't need any luck, it will be done long before my truck will I'll bet! :)

Thanks... Still have lots to do on the truck before I start the nova. (Good thing wife don't read this) looked like a good project... Couldn't pass it up. Not many decent ones around these parts...

Like that rose. Metal art is great practice for metal working.

Nova = nice addition

Thanks guys...I hope to make some purists scream again. Orange '73 nova hatch with black yenko stripes! Lol. Could I do it better? Hahah. Want to tuck the bumpers in and play with the grille.

that is a great idea! you didn't happen to make up any spares did you? i sure would like to have one for my '71. i hate how the hood comes up.

nice job on the resto!! is there anything you can't do???

Soooooo... another progress update another beer. not much. Finally picked up a carb for the truck. 1407 750 eddy. Elec choke kit en route. Guy I bought it from said less than 100 miles.. he purchased it to get a project home that had no carb. Said it was too much carb for the car. Flipped it over and found a 4/2 barrel adapter. I said "you had this on a 2 barrel intake!?"..... (his face goes red here) Figured he was full of it and expected a rebuild. Nope. Wasnt BS'n. Inside float chambers still shiny.Cleaned it anyway, reassembled and slammed it on the truck. 2 words here.... nitrous oxide. 'nuff said. (was itchin to get that on)

Took a walk around the local scrap yard. Grabbed a set of Ford windstar elec fans and a thermostat housing off an early 90's chev TBI 350. (liked the straight up hose look) The new upper rad hose I used is off the same model truck. Trimmed about 3" off a where it meets the stat housing. (molded bend)I like the fit. Yanked a mini gear drive starter from a late 90's 350 vortec while I was out there. Pulled all brackets/accessories off an early 80's V8, bought new water pump to match, and a new 78 amp alternator off a 1984 pontiac parisienne.

Add some customizing ability and an online store-front, and you're in business. Cool.
