I cant get my 454 in because it is hitting the crossmember and still needs to go down about an inch,any suggestions?Thanx.......James

Make me feel better did you save the old metal cut from the cab and turn it into something like an ashtray . :lol:

Boss, try a small block engine crossmember from a 73-up. Burt4x4 is using one on his and it gives good clearance. That or change to a different oil pan, assuming that is what is hitting the crossmember.
c-1072 - seems it varies on what kind of clearance problems you have. Some have to do nothing, some just have to dent in the firewall slightly. I'm still not sure why I had to make such radical modifications. |
