Does it make the wheel centered in the fenderwell when layed out. I know stock arms in the stock location pulls the rearend pretty far forward. Will it lay frame?

That problem will all be solved. It won't lay frame. I don't care to much for that style. It will sit low at ride hight and lower aired out. I don't think it's a smart thing to eat your steering wheel at 80 mph on the freeway when a bag or system failure happens. I like bump stops and ground clearance. Besides to low to the ground throws the look and proportions off on any hot rod.

WOW! I like that mentality. I love em low, but don't like em flat. They have to have some rake and proportion to have a full blown attitude.

Incredible work!! You both continue to raise the bar. I enjoyed the visit today Nate. Thanks for taking the time from your busy day to show me and my son around your shop.

Nice stuff. I haven't read where this was asked so I'll do it . . ... How high is the bottom of your new frame-rail vs. the top of the original rail @ the point of axle C/L?

GRIMSS 03-25-2009 11:15 PM

Re: Bent Custom and Performance Back-half

That's one of the best looking setups I've seen.

Are you asking the difference between stock hight and where it sits now?

joe231 03-26-2009 11:02 AM

Re: Bent Custom and Performance Back-half

I interpret SCOTI's question to be about the inside height of the notch......

bentfab 03-26-2009 11:16 AM

Re: Bent Custom and Performance Back-half

If that be the question. It's 2 1/8 inches from the top of the rail to the axle center line at ride height. The axle sits just about center of the frame rail looking at it from the side.
