I'm just speechless having seen that grill. I say it's a classic example of the lack of respect so many people have these days, along with the inability to accept responsibility for ones actions. I really hope compensation is made in this situation.

What a waste of vintage Americana. Looks like they used it as a push / prybar.

Is that for the new compact truck design?? Dang thats rediculous how it could get bent up like that. I hate ups they have damaged so many things it stupid and I dont attempt to send anything unless its insured for new value. Sorry about the trouble and now its going to take like 6 weeks for the claim to get paid.

Hey Roadhammer did the part arrive on Uncle Sam's truck or via What Can Brown Do For You?

From what I can see it looks like a United States Postal Service sticker on the part, not UPS.

Just curious, hate to see the wrong shipper taking blame.

Oh yeah, it wasn't me that did it..

I shipped it USPS (the Post Office). You cannot get Delivery Confirmation with USPS for something going to Canada (or any other international destination). I assume it's because USPS only goes to the border and someone else takes over from there. Who that would be, I don't know. At least that's what was inferred when I casually asked about it a while back. You can still purchase Insurance through USPS for international destinations. I insured the grill and will file a claim. From what I've heard, I'm not holding out much hope.

And for the record, Roadhammer couldn't be cooler about the whole situation. And by the way Jory, I've got a guy on the hamb that may have another grill I can send you. :metal:

UPS guy: "I told you it would fit on the truck".
Other UPS driver:"You are the man".

Total waste. Bummer.

Re: How the hell!

The package was picked up at the post office by my grandma whom i work with...i had it shipped to our office PO BOX obviously the girls in the back that received it thought that it was damaged but not their fault..my grandma thought it was a bumper or something...so when i took pictures and went back to the post office they nicely gave me a damaged sticker and let me know the have nothing to do with it and that i would have to get them to look into it at the other end.

Just the beginning of the denial and no one taking responsibilty.

At least im getting a good laugh out of the responses on here...

From measuring mine, I think it was 6 inches longer than the international shipping guideline. They probably thought they were doing you a favor so you could get your package. Sorry man, that does suck though!
