Not a OG.
Thanks, I do my best to make these look factory

I'd love to hear more about that tilt column as well. I want one to look as stock as possible & work with the original steering wheel. Looks like you accomplished that quite well.

It is a mid to late 70's Van tilt

Where did you buy the moldings from and are you happy with the quality? Also how much where they? Truck looks amazing. What are you plans for it next?

Thanks Tony, I am very happy, Brothers carries the Mar K brand moldings for under $400. I believe, next probably the front will go a little lower and.........a lot later a 700r4 with a Lokar Shifter.:smoke:

No real updates, other than installing some cab sails and waiting on new windshield rubber for the chrome trim, also raised the back some (I like a rake) it's going to stay like this for a while, too many irons in the fire. :chevy:

For me the look is so much better with the rear end raised up. Truck looks great, I love it!

I'd say the rake looks perfect.
Do me one favor though.
The front of the bed looks to be up 1/4" high.
Check the front bed mounts and see if there's a way to drop it enough to line the trim up.
Other than that, I think the truck looks great.

The back was perfect.
It was the front that needed to come down some more. Ha.

Re: The 66' "Grey Goose" update.

Agreed with lolife, You should have dropped the front down more. I will post a picture of one that i work on alot, Yours would look perfect at this stance. Been trying to buy this truck for the past 2 years.

Oh believe me, I was very okay with bringing the front down, but the dropped spindles and the disk brake conversions for the right look and the great ride gets kinda pricey and I have other C/10 mouths to feed too, or this baby would be bagged already. :chevy:

perhaps it is the cab mounts that have collapsed.

I thought that at first also, but it appears there's already a slight crown in the center where the bed meets the cab. I thought if he raised the rear of the cab any, it would exaggerate the crown even more.
I would suggest he lay a taunt string along the body lines or trim.

Re: The 66' "Grey Goose" update.

On second thought...
These trucks very well may have a crown in the frame for loading purposes.
I agree with you guys. Look at the mounts at the rear of the cab.
Either way, the truck is nice as it sits.
