Re: CPP bent panhard bar

Where can I get a mount #2 as seen above? Anyone make repos of those?

My 68 3/4t has the same mount as the 63-64 so they were in use long after 65, at least in 3/4t trucks. I also had to chop off the bottom of the pass. side mount because of the thicket 3/4t trailing arms... not too happy with CPP for not calling out the differences.

Got brackets from a 65 this is how clearance I have now. The last pic shows how far it moves the bracket, the rivet was the center of old bracket.

Its because its not a stock diff cover

FYI, the adjustable end of the rod was supposed to got to the trailing arm bracket, not the frame bracket. This is why you had to move the mount, because the bend is wrong for that direction.

Here is mine,

The mount had to be moved either way because it just puts the rod end in the wrong position. The rod end itself doesn't have any fore/aft move-ability because of the bushing ends, so it naturally doesn't line up with the alternative mount location and requires a custom or more common stock mount. This actually doesn't have anything to do with hitting the diff cover, that's just an additional side-effect.

This is a picture from CPP's site showing the bar mounted with the adjustable side at the frame bracket.

Well, I know it would not have cleared my diff cover the other way. I tried. Maybe there is no right or wrong way.
