Re: My 1959 apache project
Looks really good!
I wonder if there would be any way to get the same material the louvers are made from and make slightly longer ones that would follow the curve around the big window corners? Still looks great though. |
Re: My 1959 apache project
Would be hard to do so because these are aluminum but everything is possible! Its only metal hahha
The aftermarket clips i used work ok but not great in the corners so i salvaged some original clips now those work killer!! |
Re: My 1959 apache project

Re: My 1959 apache project
My friend Pancho showed a picture of your truck and I just had to find more of it. Luckily the picture had your user name, I did some web searching and found your thread on this website. I have to say you have done an awesome job on your 59. I have the same trokita in pieces right now, I started with installing a Jag IFS, only because I got it for $100 and it is the same Chevy bolt patter as the 73 Nova rear end on it now 5 on 4 3/4. And you know how it goes one thing led to another and another and now its just a shell. The inside of the cab is ready for paint now, but still need to work the doors, once that is done I will paint it.
Can't wait to see your troketa finished, it's looking great. |
Re: My 1959 apache project

Re: My 1959 apache project
Wow, she's just become such a pretty truck that obviously the owner cares a great deal about... Ithink that's what we all want no matter our personal vision for our trucks. I think that's why we're here.
Huge congrats. Now I want to see her at some shows, photos of her cruising the highways, etc! |
Re: My 1959 apache project
Thanks!! I plan to attend some shows for sure

Bridge welded in and the best thing is no hoses and cylinders poking through the bed floor |
