eh, 6 months isn't that bad to install the motor. I bought my '64 last december and parked it at my folks house. i'm going to actually get it in my garage this week, i think, and begin disassembly, LOL

Re: project 62

Thanks Troy!

Yeah fronts in the dirt, back would still roll though.

Re: project 62

Those are some big sidewalls, maybe bigger than mine.I think I might have to go down a series in the front.Mine barely untuck before the shock binds.
Theres not manny options for the newer trucks....
Anyway,lookin good.

scotts62 12-16-2009 08:44 AM

Re: project 62

Yeah heard the newer ones are harder to get to lay out but im not sure. The front end makes mine easy to get to lay flat though, i dont have to worry about fenders getting in the way.

Inverter 12-16-2009 01:06 PM

Re: project 62

The newer trucks actually lay better because the bottom of the front crossmember is flush w/the bottom of the main rails. The problem,if you consider it one,is the front track width.I jus want to be able to drive around w/o having to raise the truck everytime I need to make a 90 deg. turn.
How much sidewall to fender clearance do you have at ride height?

Man i dont know exact but it would safe to say 2in or so. It would probably be able to cruise around laid out pretty good and steer somewhat ok.
