Sorry to hear about your grandpa but glad you made it down there to see him.

Truck looks good but why is the roll pan still black?

Thought it would look funky in the patina.

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

Well, Pa went home at about 7:45 this morning. Sad for us, good for him. While I was taking a few moments to collect myself, I wet sanded my truck. I am pretty happpy with it, but there are a few spots I will work a little more. Also drove the truck to work for the afternoon, and bent the bottom of my door on the concrete around the gas pumps when airing out my bags. Kinda sucked. all in all, a weird day. I will do my best to post some pics tomorrow. I was feeling a little off already, and after I bent the crap out of my door, I just didn't feel like a photo shoot.

Sorry for your loss but good way to look at it. Hate to hear about the truck also. It will take a little to get used to but hopefully no more damage along the way.

Saw your truck in the stock wheel thread and I'm all about it! Really into your build and I'll be going thru it completely this evening. Planning on running Aero D-Hole wheels on mine and your stance is pretty much exactly what I'm going for. Nice work!

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I have been really busy at work, and have been doing lots of traveling in the evenings helping my Preacher get to revival meetings. Yesterday at work, I was riding in one of the company pickups and the guy who was driving drifted into oncoming traffic and sideswiped another vehicle. There was no major damage other than the big mirror (which exploded through the open window and showered us with glass. About 20 minutes later my neck began to tighten up and hurt pretty bad. I told my supervisor I was going home because my neck hurt, and he seemed a little pissy about it. My wife made me go to the doctor, and sure enough, I have whiplash (lol, I thought that was fake). I am at home resting (dr's orders), but I really have been missing everyone.

Well, fellas, my life gets more like a country song every day! I lost my job this morning. I guess the new supervisor decided we weren't gonna get along after all. Most of the reasons he cited to the big boss for firing me were total lies! I was gonna quit as soon as something better came along, but I was kinda taking it slow. It's no big loss, but I've never been fired before, so it was still a shock. Anybody need a bagged stepside that hauls you-know-what? Just kiddin'. Truck is staying. Last three things to go will be truck, Jake (my dog), wife. In that order. Shoot, I'm lookin forward to workin on my truck some, and no more being on call!

Sorry to hear about that. I was laid off twice within three years due to company closing/a branch of the next company closing. Worked whatever jobs I could find (including parts sales) for almost two full years until I was blessed with my current job...so I feel your pain!

Haha, work's a funny thing, ain't it? Had a job I really disliked, was going to quit soon, and then wanna get halfway upset when I lose it, lol. Chalk another one up to small town (and small minded) politics. I am glad in a way though. I have learned that I need to find something I like, and not just the first thing that's offered.
