Thanks guys, it's still got a long ways to go yet.

I am surprised that there are not more pictures of custom bezels, I have seen some very cool ones here on the board over the years that are very well done.

Mike

I paid $299 plus $50 shipped UPS. They can match any color you want as long as you send them a sample...:metal:

Here is my ghetto cluster rebuild. Total cost, $22.

<edit> It's tough to tell in the pic, but that's "carbon fiber" vinyl. I look s better in person.

I have seen a 67-72 C-10 with a late 50's impala dash & it looked pretty cool, here's a 70 Blazer that has the ol impala dash just to get an idea of what it might look like.

Re: Full out custom or semi stock dash?

The problem with grafting in a _new_ dash is that in 5 years or less it'll not be new and it'll look like a clunky out of date dash that doesn't fit the truck (kinda like those 90's dashes pictured). I'd stay with the building blocks the 72 comes with and go from there or go completely fab'd. Just my thoughts on the matter :).

That seriously looks like a light that is made for streetrods. Check either "YOGI'S" INC, KC STREETRODS", JULIANO"S,or Bill's Hotrod Usa. See what they have.

The picture of the red blazer with the 60 Impala dash was around about 7 years ago on the Hot Rod Power Tour. That guy had a lot of hours in it, and he did it all himself. The dash was pulled from an impala and it grafted in pretty easy according to him. The console and the bed cover were his major project involvement. That blazer was mounted on a tube frame and set down low to the ground with air bags.

Re: Full out custom or semi stock dash?

I love the look of the Custom C-10 pics that abadsvt posted earlier. That's very close what I have in mind for the dash in my 69 (on which I'm within 2 weeks of starting the customizing process).

Love that "soft" look. Love the blended and contoured look too. I just don't care for styling it after the 63 Corvette dash. If it were blue and white, I'd be beside myself for sure.

Stock 67-72 dashes are a little too straight, bare and plain for my personal tastes. Much prefer warm and curvy. ;)

But to answer the poster's initial question....."Full Custom" for sure.
