Very nice job! I never would expect any less than perfect, thou. What year was the subframe? Now you'll get to start working back on your ride I hope.

Fat Mike the clip is from a 1970 Nova. Its actually a really nice clip for the Advanced Design trucks. It was used a lot on these trucks back in the day. The 1968-1974 Nova are rear steer. If you go the clip route this is not a bad choice imo.

Man my work is no where near perfect, but I will continue to strive to someday reach that level. Thanks man.

Man Kabwe you did a fantastic job on that clip. I can not wait to see your truck when it's done, it WILL be rolling work of art.

Man what's up with that dude? I can't believe anyone would even attempt to drive a hack job like that (not your friend but the fool who did that hack job). Going done the freeway at 70 and knowing that my life is depending on that person's fabrication skills is just scary. Oh well, at least your buddy can know now it's going to be done right by that master fabricator, Kabwe!!!!:metal:

I can do that, but it will be a while because he is going to paint the truck. That's why he decided to fix the clip now he was already tearing the truck down. He is a really good painter, but he hates to paint. Why do a lot of good painters hate painting?lol.

Hey man hows the new project? Well to tell the truth I was a little upset at both of them. I was upset that someone would do a job like that and I was upset with my buddy for driving it. I kept asking him "Did you look at this before you drove it".lol All is well now. You guys stop with this master stuff.lol I just try hard and think things through before I make the first cut. Oh but I will be a master someday I dream of it.lol

Outstanding job! That bad-boy looks strong now, for sure. Judging from the height of the clip to the frame, she'll sit nice and low, too.

I would have almost wanted to drive that truck before you fixed it. In a wide open parking lot, I would have liked to been going about 15mph and let go of the wheel and see what direction it would go. I've learned that when you can visually see it dog-tracking, then it is WAAAAY out of square.

Looks like you've got a customer for life!! It'll be a good feeling when you see the owner around town driving the heck out his truck and having fun. It'll be even better when the hack who messed it up gets to see how it SHOULD have looked from the start.

Ha ha I have not heard anyone use the term "bad-boy" since I was a kid.lol I think I will start using it again now.lol

Thanks man I tried my best to make it safe and make him happy, but I don't want any customers.lol I don't like working on other people cars I just usually give my opinion about what to do, but only when asked.lol If not asked I keep my mouth closed.

If he would have let go of the wheel of this thing before it was fixed it would have made a complete left turn while going sideways.lol

About the ride height that's why I built that jig, because he loved the ride height and wanted to retain it. It came out pretty good and he let me know he is happy so I'm happy that he is.

Thanks man.

I love doing this stuff and sharing pictures. I don't know many car nuts near me that actually do their own work (with the exception of BC Toy Chest) so I come here and a few other forums to share and watch build threads. You guys make it easy to share and your compliments are greatly appreciated.
