The Jimmy is looking sweet!

I am curious to see how that cable operated twin stick works out for ya. Where did you get that from? I have and ORD twin stick on my 205 and hate it. It doesn’t seem to work real well but it does rattle and fall apart extremely well.

Hey Larry, it came from Northwest Fab. here is a link to their shifters and and other goodies. http://www.northwestfab.com/Shifters.html

how does your engine do once you put it in 4 lo, ive heard many paople say they have problems with new ls engines being computer controlled and not reconizing when they are put in 4 lo. and that is causes them to stall out when coming off the throttle. have you had any problems like that

I have never heard of such. Why would it need to realize it is in 4L? Whoever said so must be holding there mouth wrong. I have never heard of or had said problem. A lot and I mean a lot of people I know used these LS style engines in all sorts of things from Jeeps to an LS Subaru without said problem. My motto is believe nothing you hear and half of what you see. I turned out fine.

it's been an issue if you use a newer trans without proper vss signals. if you use your 700r4/th400 (like the OP did) you shouldn't have a problem at all.

Never really thought about the new transmissions or question from that point of view. 79 the Th400 and Np205 used in my truck does not use a VSS like a 4l60 or 80 does. Conman is correct.

ahhh ok thanks for clearing that up guys. i was wondering what to do with it but i guess it wont be a problem lol i plan on running a sm465 np205 combo id say it would be about the same as your 400 205 setup so it should work fine.

are you running a dakota digital speed sensor or anything in yours
