I will use cable and when I bought the engine the guy already programed the computer for this! I may change tanks but not sure at the moment and for the gauges he did a great job but I may not go that elaborate!!

I did this swap on a 57 chevy pickup. I used a set of Cast manifolds made by Hooker. They worked great and the nice thing is that they never leak like Headers. I painted them with high temp exhaust paint and they look great 4 years later. Thats my opinion. They dump back and followed the firewall body line which made the exhaust nice and easy to bend. I think i got them from Summit Racing for a couple hundred.. Good luck

Good choice on going the drive by cable route. I used the drive by wire on my build and I don't like the pedal feel.

Thanks TWP, much appreciated. I'm enjoying your build and the quality work that you've put into it. I was so close to choosing that color for my truck, but made a last minute change. I love orange for these trucks.

GM man, i did the ls1 nova cluster in my 68c10 ls swap and one of my favorite items to blend old with new. The factory dash since i had my first 69 c20 in high school was a favorite. Remember that the ls spins higher than the 5,000 stock tach can handle and you need this 8,000 rpm tach conversion kit in hand BEFORE you start the ls1nova cluster job because the lens for the 8K tach has to be modified for new speedo numbers.

You most likely will have an issue with the tach working correctly being driven from your pcm. My gm pcm #411 got sent to a member here under the avatar name of "CRITTER". He runs lone star dyno in texas and was fantastic to deal with this issue.
