Re: My 1959 apache project
Had a bunch of time to kill yesterday and went through your thread. Very nice build and taste in vehicles. Not sure where you found all the accessories but very nicely done, sir.
bb Was trying to make the Brothers show this year but not going to happen. Staying home to try and get mine running. |

Re: My 1959 apache project
Congrats on the BOS win!
There were a lot of nice trucks at the show, but the judges got it right. The Beauty already has it's first win. The Beast needs to step up the pace. It was good to see you and your family and PTC and his wife at the show. I'm sure this won't be your last win. |
Re: My 1959 apache project

Re: My 1959 apache project
Thanks! I had this idea a couple years back but could never find a nice set that weren't bent up and bases were all pitted so once I found a nos set I waited for the last minute to bid, I like them they are still just mocked up I need to trim the tubes an inch or so to get them to fit nicer

Re: My 1959 apache project
Sorry to impose can't find a good thread to put this in. This looked like the best. Looking to do a 4x4 conversion on a 59 gmc. I was thinking about using straight axles from a small body blazer from around 2000. Is there a better option for axle choice as far as installation and what will I be in for as far as, hanging steering components, adding a transfer case to a muncie 4spd and such. I would like to use a dana 60 front and rear, but they all look to be full size truck axles and I need a 60" axle. Is there a way to make sure the leaf springs will line up with where there suppose to go on either option. I'm not doing a chasis swap.
