Re: My 1959 apache project
Looks something like, "Droust" or "Drouer" Chevrolet, Yuba City.
Cmon man, I keep checking for the hood to be done. Anyone woulda think you have an actual life with a job, wife and kids and stuff! Lol. She's looking outstanding. Lowriders aren't my thing but yours is just great looking. Color selection is right on the mark! |

Re: My 1959 apache project
Emblem says "Daoust Chevrolet" also have the plate frame on but need to paint the letters. As for the hood i need to get some hinges ordered because mine make the hood pop up in the back or is there an adjustment?
Oh and still need to paint hood |

Re: My 1959 apache project
The adjustment I found is to the body shims under the bottom of the two bots that mount to the firewall. Now that was on a '55.2 and I now the '58-59 hoods/hinges are a bit different.
Hey, aren't you running the risk of chipping your new paint without having hoses on the tailgate chains? I kind of assume you'll want clear hoses? I used "roadie" inner tubes I got free from my local bike shop's trash. They don't last forever but they're not loose like the larger diameter rubber tubes you usually see. |
Re: My 1959 apache project
