Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short
Keep what you have & work w/that. PB should have easily swappable brackets to get you to the C/O option or build your own.
A bolt-in c-notch won't get you the clearance you need (want) for worry (impact) free driving. With a steel floor, locating the sheet metal & raising the floor for necessary clearance is even easier (after cutting & chopping things up  ). |
Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short
Hell, I think I’ll just stay the line and air ride PB chassis.

I don’t have to super fancy accuair setup. Just the manifold, compressors, and controls.

Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short
I also ordered a set of wheels for Walter today. Pretty basic stuff... 20” American Racing grey Torque Thrust’s and Toyo Proxes ST-3’s: 20x8” with 255/45r20 & 20x10” with 295/40r20’s. I need them before I can even move Walter back to the lift.
I really wanted to go with Salt Flat’s, but my vanity got the best of me in that I want the brakes to show  I figure the tires are kinda tall...29’ish inches tall, but with the Slosh Tubz up front and the raised bed floor out back, I’ll have plenty of room for them. |
Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short
Tires arrived today and the wheels show the expected delivery date as tomorrow. If they show up, I’ll mount them tomorrow night and get them on Walter so I can move him to the 2-post. Then this weekend, my next attempt for getting him done will begin!

Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short
Glad to see your still at it on this one! And recognize a few of those parts I sold you a few years back!

Now that I’ve gotten the Falcoon to a satisfactory stopping point and have started back on Walter. I got the new wheels & tires mounted tonight and on so I can get him moved to the 2-post lift. I think they look great with the big Wilwood brakes behind them... I’m off Friday-Monday, so I’m hoping to get a lot accomplished this weekend.

I got Walter moved over to the 2-post and broke him apart. But here are a coupe of pictures to show front at approximate ride height and how close the rear bumper gets to the pavement with the biga$$ 29-1/2” tall tire.
