Yea, I wasn't smart enough to take my time and look for a nice one...no, I had to buy this unbelievably rusted one and some more parts to make more work for myself.

Update: First coat done. Have to wait at least 3 hours until I can put on the second coat, but there are two big games on today so it's all good.

2nd coat of primer is done but no pics yet. That crap is messy when you brush it on. I will get some pics in the morning before and after I put the final coat on.


As yes...progress feels good...finally! :smoke:

My suggestion to anyone considering this, is to spray it...brushing is a huge PITA and very messy. I am not real happy with the outcome, but it will do for a frame. Another tip would be, don't leave everything together like I did...stupid!

I was like...wow, I like the gray, wish I had gotten gray for mine...then I scrolled down and saw it black. :lol:

I got the semi gloss black so it's not nearly as shiny now as it was when I took the pics.

Well I actually got something done lately. Got the rear springs, blocks and shackle mounts off. Need to get the shackle flips and shackles painted as well as touch up the frame and then I can start putting things together instead of taking them apart. I forgot to take the camera out with me, I'll get pics tomorrow.

Looks good - It may take a LOT of time to get things blasted and coated - but they will look like that for years to come (so it makes up for it).

Not a lot lately. Between plowing snow, doing real work, fixing things that break and the Christmas holiday, I haven't made it out there much. But, today I'm spending a few hours out there. I would like to get some of the small things painted so I can start to reassemble this week. :drama: I have my 11 year old for the week, so I figured a little quality time working on the Blazer would be a good thing.

Side note: I don't know what's going on here but we have had the strangest weather lately. About a week of snow, snow and more snow...then wind for two days then yesterday it got up to 62*...now today's high is 32*...and I was awakened by 50mph wind gusts at 4:30 this morning. :crazy: :uhmk:
