Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
I am going to try and do something differet with my gauge panels. I have had time to sit down with my programmer and we have come up with a way to be able to make a viable way to make the gauge panel in different configurations while using the same tooling.
So here it goes, We will be able to start making the dash panels in custom configurations and even make a blank panel wiith no holes for someone seeking to do their own work. The only limitation is you have to use the original center points for the gauges. Meaning I am going to change the diameter of the opening and the number of holes you want. I will not move the gauge openings to different locations. I will delete the openings and lettering for the windshield wipers and headlights upon request. But for this first round I will need to get a group to commit to this project so I don't get stuck doing one or two at a time. I will need at least 10 buyers. The price is going to be $295.00 per panel and I am going to need a $125.00 deposit. Once I get 10 people commited and I have approved their designs then I will collect the deposits and begin working on them and keep those buyers informed of the progress. Then I will collect the balance when the units are ready to be shipped. Price will include ground shipping and CA residents have to add sales tax. For Reference you can look at these othere threads for the different panels I have made. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=252902 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=374791 Please contact me through my email at ryan.hubbard@aspencontrols.com or through the forum pm. I will post updates of how many people have committed and will make a cutoff date once I see we have enough people committed. Thanks for your continued interest and for those who have bought units in the past. |

Yeah I'd really like to have a set too.

Re: Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
I am still here but I am not able to do any panels at the moment. I won some big contacts and have all my machines tied up for the next 3 years. I am trying to work out buying more machines but since the panels is a side job, I am not looking to run panels until I have a decent size run going. I still have some of the original panels left and glovebox doors.

Re: Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
What do you have left left? I'm looking for the 5" outers with the 3 3/8" center, none of the lower four holes.

Re: Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
I still have instock and ready to ship gauge panels that are setup to take two 5" Autometer gauges and five 2 1/16" autometer gauges. I also have some that will take two 5" Autometer gauges and one 3 3/8" Autometer gauge in the center and four 2 1/16" gauges along the bottom. These are available for $350 with a billet glove box door or for $225 for just the dash panel.

Re: Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
i would like to have the set up for the 5" gauges and the 5- 2 1/16" gauges.also would like to have the glovebox. i know you had mentioned to one person about the option of doing some custom work on the glovebox. i am a machinist also so i know about the work and cost involved. i would like to have chevy bowtie milled into the center of it. if it would be possible, thanks let me know total cost. if you would rather not mess with the bowtie, dont worry about it, i will try and do it manually on a bridgeport. just will take me a lil longer than a cnc would. also let me know the thickness. thanks

Re: Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
To all the others out there, I will be doing a run of these panels and am willing to do some blank dash panels with none of the holes cut out. I know some people have been requesting these.

Just and idea - If you make a run of the blanks, make sure you add some marks on the back to show center line, horizontal and vertical... that way there is something to measure off of when plotting out the gauge layout.... |
Re: Custom Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
hey ryan take me off the list for the instrument panel, i ended going a different route. i am still interested in the glovebox though, just send me a pm when you get some ready. thanks

Well I have finished running the panels and have a couple new panels. The first panel is the blank panel. This one is $295.00 and this includes ground shipping.

The second is a three hole panel. THe two outside holes are 5" and the inner is 3 3/8" hole. These are $225.00 each.
|
Would it be possible to get on with the two 5" hole and that's it and maybe a center mark for were the 3 3/8 hole would be? Im going to cut the center for my digital air ride gauge.
