Need advise on wheels

I have a 61 suburban that im going to change up to 5x5 and im wanting to buy some supremes 15x7. I notice that summit racing has a few of them with different back spacing. does anyone know hoe much of a back spacing would I need to run in order to clear the calipers?

Pretty costly to take someone else word for it. By taking your own measurements you know for sure what you need. Your calipers and mine may be different etc.
Here's a link to a video (how to) and the form you can download - https://www.americanracing.com/wheel-measure-guide/

I had a set of 15X5 rallies with a standard back spacing. They fit on the CPP drop spindle. When I put them on the CPP modular drop spindle they no longer fit and I needed to add a .25" back spacer in order to get them to fit. when I say that they didn't fit I mean they actually did fit but they knocked off my clip on wheel waits but did not touch the rim. Hopefully this helps.

This is very sound advise and not very difficult to do, and you will "know for sure what you need".

A tool like this is really what you need. The tires you are going to run can make the back spacing you run different from that of others. A tire with a wider section width can push the wheel in or out depending on the truck. Only true way to get rims and tires that fit.

Every vehicle is different. Combos utilizing the same/similar parts but on a different vehicle can/often does yield different results truck to truck.

Find a cheap 7" 5x5 OE wheel (or borrow one) to get an idea of fit. Once you have a visual, you can make a decision on back-spacing changes & the impact more or less might have for your set-up. Or . . ..... Buy one of those back-space measuring tools.

most after-market 15" rims will fit over the calipers------
