Eric....why dont you listen to me?? damn..Go to O Reillys. Get the 2 Hayden Fans, the Hayden electronic controller, Wire them as they tell you in the directions and be done with it! Under 170 bux for all of it! With a lifetime warranty. WOrks great and looks great. Very simple

Het it sounds to me that you already have a dual fan control. flip the switch and they come on, flip the switch again and they go off. Life is simple, isn't it?

ocbaud 05-30-2004 10:51 PM

i remember seeing a couple diagrams online to wire it up. i would really love to find those again.

i found the instructions with the hayden fans, but they dont detail it very well.

oh yeah, how much coolant is gonna come out when i take a plug out of the head to install the temp. sensor?

NeCrOmAnCeR 05-31-2004 11:14 AM

That all depends on how fast you are!!

J/K

It would be better if you just put a pail under the radiator and open the pet-cock and let it drain till it stops. That way you can control where all the antifreeze goes. Install the sensor/switch and refill the system.

Eric:

Sent you an email with an attached wiring diagram (hand drawn) by a Product Technician with Painless Wiring. It is for a dual fan setup with a manual overide switch. Requires a total of 3 relays and a SPST switch. Diagram was too big to post. Good Luck!

Yea but Im cheap and dont want to buy a thermostatic kit i have eyeballed the water pump kit in jegs the one where the sender screws in the head It would be ok..

It would be a cold day in hell when i put one of those cheesy ones that you stick in the rows of the radiator on my rig.

I just like the convience of not having to remeber to turn the fans on so i have mine to where if the engine is running so are the fans.

Cheap protection against Forgetfullness
