Wanted- 2 barrel carb...seriously...don't laugh at me!

I'm looking for a cheap 2 barrel Rochester carb. Surely some of you 307 guys have your old one laying around.

I'm looking for cheap, needing a rebuild is fine, just not water damaged or rusted up or burned or anything like that.

DFW area would be awesome, or at least cheap shipping....

Let Me Know, and please don't ask why I want it.

Kevin

Just kidding!

How much you paying?
I got one that came off of a 70 chevelle 350 250hp.
Have the intake to go with it too.
It was rebuilt about 2 years ago, then the block cracked due to overheating (idiot PO didn't have any of the idiot lights hooked up).
It's been sitting in a box ever since.
It's in great shape.
Let me know.
Todd

Let me know how much the carb is worth to you. I have my intake already, so I don't need yours.

Seems like you're in NRH if I remember right. I work in Hurst, so no shipping would be needed.

toddtheodd 07-11-2004 02:53 PM

I have no idea what it is worth. (To me it isn't worth crap, but this IS a business transaction).
I would say $50.
Then you make an offer. And we barter. Unless $50 is ok. I don't even know how much new ones cost. And I hope I don't sound like an a$$ putting a high amount on a piece of $hit (though it's not... a piece of $hit)

toddtheodd 07-11-2004 02:53 PM

Oh, and I'll throw in that fuel filter as well. ;)

Tx Firefighter 07-11-2004 02:56 PM

I guess I'm looking for a junkier one. I'm in the 20 dollar range I'd guess. I'm wanting to get into it cheap and don't mind rebuilding it if I needed.

toddtheodd 07-11-2004 02:57 PM

$25 and you come to my place to pick it up so that I don't spend any on gas. Sound fair?

toddtheodd 07-11-2004 02:58 PM

Then I can get some new spark plugs for my POS truck :)

Tx Firefighter 07-11-2004 03:39 PM

Done then. PM me the details.

If you still dont have your 2 barrel. I believe I have one somewhere, You can have it for free... just pay for shipping.

I know for sure I have a intake for it.

botboy 07-12-2004 12:22 PM

I have one too if things don't work out, came off of a '76 impala/305. $15+ shipping

67ChevyC10Stepside 07-12-2004 01:47 PM

i see the TOA but the last letter doesnt look like a D it looks closer to another A.....awesome work though it looks real.

toddtheodd 07-12-2004 03:26 PM

I get that a lot. It's hard to see in the pic, but the black of the D ends and the blood carries down further. Also, it was hard getting my arm angled correctly for that pic. Hard to twist it just right and take the pic yourself if you know what I mean.
