Starter and exhaust pipe distance
With a stock setup of 2 inch pipe coming from a ramhorn exhaust manifold that is angled down. How far is the pipe supposed to be from the starter?
Thanks |
Forgot to add. How far is the exhaust pipe supposed to come down from the exhaust manifold before it straightens out and goes toward the end of the truck.
Thanks |

I am not sure on rams horns, I have hedman headers and mine are VERY close 3/4" and I have to have a heat shield installed and a mini starter.

If it's not raining I will check and try to get a pic of mine when I get home.

Thanks Krue, I appreciate it.

I have Hookers, & 1 tube is within 1/8 " of the starter.....doesnt cause a bit of problem here in the midwest with 95- 100 degree temps :) IMO, set the exhaust up as tight to the bottom of the truck as you can, fit it(within 1/2" of the crossmember).....just make sure there is enough room to drop the starter out , if you need to. if that 2 " tube is 1/2 - 3/4 " from the starter, it shouldnt cause any problems ;) best of luck, crazyL :burnout:
