Buckets And Console

I posted this on the parts page and it was suggested I should post this here on the message board instead. I picked up a set of buckets with the console from a 96 Chev Silverado Ext Cab. I am going to install them in my 72 Chev but also have an Early Classic Enterprises rear frame mounted gas tank to put on the truck too. Has anyone mounted a set of these seats in a 67/72. If so was the gas tank still in the cab? If the gas tank was out of the cab could you mount the seats further back or do the seats mount the same if the tank is in or out? I have long legs and want as much leg room as I can get.

you dont gain much room with the tank out(unless you like sitting at 90*), since it is the same angle as the seat and the top of the seat hits the back of the cab first.

Thanks

That is what I was looking to find out. What you are saying makes sense to me.
