what numbers are on the front of the choke tower?

JIMs70GMC 11-19-2004 09:46 PM

Well here's the numbers, of course I had to make two trips because I didn't take anything to write with: 6R-5263B. Whoops that number is on the body, on the choke was 603A I believe.

\What's wrong with you Holley Guys ??? This is a hell of a buy. I don't have a hundred bucks to blow or I'd buy it....

Is there anything I can trade you for it??

Look HERE

cableguy0 11-21-2004 08:43 PM

that is a very good replacement for a qjet carb you guys should be jumping on that

grayw0lf 11-21-2004 09:09 PM

I have one, & I can tell you that they are a big performance boost for the $$$! Not too tough on gas either. Although, it is wayyy too much for my stock 305.

Old Chevy Lover 11-21-2004 11:10 PM

what would shipping be to 45601?

pickup6772 11-21-2004 11:48 PM

WHAT WOULD SHIPPING BE TO 11951? :burnout: :burnout:

vtblazer 11-22-2004 08:16 AM

Carb

I'll take it if it's still available. :)
In the correct pecking order of course.
PM sent.
Is this a "bolt on and go" or does it need some work?
The "I'll take it" is contingent on the overall condition.
Thanks.

JIMs70GMC 11-22-2004 09:05 AM

Here's where were at guys:

72 GORD is first, old chevy lover,pickup6772, vt blazer.

Carb was run on a 85 C10 as part of trouble shooting, the problem was not the carb and the q-jet got put back on. I aquired the carb and it has been sitting, empty. It was on the truck for maybe a week at most while my neighbor was chasing his problem.

Old Chevy Lover 11-22-2004 02:40 PM

How long did it sit on the shelf empty after it had gas in it? How old is it? From the original post, I was under the impression that it was bought new, used a day or two and is now up for sale. I know I know.. shouldn't assume things, hahaha.

vtblazer 11-30-2004 10:05 PM

Carb

So what ever happened with the carb?
Has it been sold yet?
Just curious, it's been a week now since the last post.

JIMs70GMC 12-01-2004 07:30 AM

It's sold. 72Gord got it. Thought I had updated this thread. Sorry!

vtblazer 12-01-2004 08:10 AM

Not an issue, was just checking, thanks for the update.

72gord 12-03-2004 09:04 PM

Fed Ex dropped it off this afternoon, looks like new, hope to get it in use this weekend....after I cut a couple loads of wood and go help the daughter winterize her apartment at college....maybe it won't get put on this weekend!
Thanks Jim, just as you represented it. Gord

72gord 12-05-2004 10:02 AM

Last follow up post....got it put on yesterday after me and the son cut two loads of firewood, it is a great improvement over my old carb...seems to work fine. Big Thanks to Jim!

Randy70C-10 12-05-2004 11:34 AM
