Brake Rotor R&R Question

Do the rotors just slip off over the lug studs, or are they pressed on to the hub? I've seen illustrations of rotors and of complete rotor/hub assemblies, and I'd like to get the right parts before I start the job. And are the cheap ($25) rotors any good? Truck is driven daily but mostly short trips in town, hasn't had heavy hauling or much highway use for years. Thanks, guys.

I might be wrong but I think they are one piece rotor and hub assembly. From what I saw the $25 one only have a 3 mo warranty and $34 have 2yr (autozone)

Parts store rotors are fine. It will probably come with new bearing races so now would be a good time to replace the bearings. I can't see why Autozone would have two different rotors. I don't see what they could have different to have a year longer warranty on one. Don't forget the hi-temp grease for the bearings and seal.

Just My $.02, I Used To Work Part Time In A Muffler & Brake Shop,
We Had 2 Turn, Yes Turn, Autozone Rotors New Out Of The Box 3
Out Of 5 Jobs We Ordered Them From, Advance Auto Was Better,
We Only Did It About 1 Out Of 5, Napa And Mighty Were The Best,
But They Also Were Higher, Mighty Is The Highest Because They
Sell Premium Parts To Shops Only, Not To The Individual Person. ;)

When I Googled "Kragen" (there's one an hour away), this is what I got http://www.partsamerica.com/SelectPa...r=Disc%2FRotor and they show 8 rotors, though 2 are repeats.... thus my confusion...

The studs hold the rotor to the hub. You can either use a press to R&R them, or if you're careful you can do it with a hammer and old extension...

Yup - that's exactly what I discovered late yesterday after taking one off. Parts store said they had 'em, so over the mountain I went, but they were for C20, not K20  . So, with no way to press the studs or turn the rotors, I got a cheap set of pads to put things back together for now. Rotors are grooved a bit but they'll work for my slow around-town driving. Thanks for the input, guys. :)
