WTB:Rear Brake Hose retainer?
I recently swapped out a 69 rear axle for a 72 rear axle. The new 72 brake hose I purchased appears to connect to the axle differently. It looks like a bolt or peg may accomplish this? It could be that I have swapped in a axle set up for leaf springs and my truck is a coil rearend.
If you have what I need or know where I can get it I would appreciate the help. Maybe if someone could point me to a picture that would be helpful too. Thanks in advance!!! |
Could someone please supply me with a picture of their 71/72 rear axle that uses coils where the rubber hose meets with the metal brake lines?
Thanks. |

There is an angle welded to the front of the axle tube and the brass connector bolts to the angle. The brass connector has the holes in it for the two metal lines.
Hopefully the picture will help. It is a little awkward snapping the pic with the axle in the truck. (The truck is a 71 2wd with coils). Jim |
i may have what you need i will get a pic. tomarrow

Thanks for the pictures billsbowtie.
The pictures from JimKshortstep4X4 seem to match my setup better. Does anyone have this part or should I make my own? |
69ShortStep,
If you measurements of the bracket, let me know and I will measure it for you. It should be an easy part to make. Jim |
