3:73 are an all-round good gear ratio.Good in the city and fine at hwy speeds.

I have both 350's as well with 4:11, and was told by club members that 3:73 is the way to go.

Well, that's a religious question. Personally I find that my Blazer with 3.07s isn't slow at all. It's not a hotrod, but I built it trying to get good gas mileage, not burn rubber.

My '72 has 235/85R16 and 3.07's. It is a stock combo so it is definately very driveable. I don't notice any lack of power in my truck, but I would like to swap up to the 3.73s and get a slightly larger tire. My '69 has 4.10's with 35" tires but since that truck has a built 350 and a shift kit, it is hard to judge the difference.

I really like my 3:73's with the 32x11.50 tire and a crate motor moves it pretty good..

I'm running 260 hp 350ci, SM465, 307 gears, 33x12.50x15. I'm turning about 2200 rpm @ 65 mph in fourth gear.
