73-74 grille in a 77 - ???
 

What do I need to change to install a 73-74 grille in my 77? I was thinking that the center grille support had to be changed. Does anyone know?

The 73-74 core support is different than the 75 and up. The grille attach brackets are welded to the core support, whereas the 75 and up versions have bolt-on brackets. I doubt that the 77 core support will hold a 73-74 grille because the early grilles are deeper, and the later brackets would stick the grille out too far.

The core support will work, but the header latch panel, center brace, latch mechanism, and grille support items are specific to the 73/74.
