Disc Brake Conversion
 
What will it take to convert the front drums to disc? Any suggestions

theres a fella in my area that specializes on our trucks and his advise to me was " find a doner and just remove the subfraim, 6 bolts and it rolls out and just swap em" how far from the truth that is i have no idea but thats what he told me

It's a little more involved than that but not too much. Brake lines and pitnam arm have to be disconnected.

if you use a 73 and up donor truck,brake parts are much less expensive and a whole easier to find.

The crossmember is held in by 7 bolts per side.
