Need to know which tranny & transfer your running, since it's a 72 I would guess TH350 to NP 205, figure 8 style with 27 splines.... but then who knows?

NP 205 to Th350 adaptors run anywhere from $75 & up depending on location, and I have seen them as high as $150.

It had a 4-speed, I am converting it to a TH350. Will check on NP205 # and splines tomorrow. Thanks.......Rick

If it is a TH350 it's 27 splines. What else do you need? An auto trans crossmember, different driveshafts? How about linkages or a single pedal set? Might as well make a shopping list since your here. :)

I need the adapter for TH350 27 spline to np205. Don't know if crossmembers are different? They have same mount on bottom of adapter. If you can move existing crossmember, it would be easier to drill new holes. Won't have body on frame when installing driveline. Have linkages and cab for auto. Would sell front tub set up for 4-speed, with adapter. Thanks........Rick

Adapter

If the 205 that your using was originaly from a standard the spline count will be 10 spines. The 205's that came behind th350's had 27 spines. The easiest way to do the swap is to find a 205 that was from an auto set-up. You can get an adapter from Advanced Adapters that will allow you the put the 10 spine 205 behind a th350. You may also be able to change out the input shaft on the 205 to a 27 spine shaft.

The cross members are the same, and if you use the correct GM adapters and a th350 the cross member dosen't have to be moved, and the drive shafts don't need any mods. ( The adapters are different lengths and the take up the difference in trany lengths ) I don't know if this is true if you use an after market adapter !!!!!

Other items you will need !!!
Auto steering coulomb
Auto pedal set-up
Auto trany linkage
Radiator with cooler or good trany cooler
trany fluid lines
Trany kick-down cable & bracket
Trany dip-stick & tube

Good luck with your conversion.
Gary
