How to Remove Upper/Lower Control Arm Shaft?

Just like the title. How do you remove the upper control arm shaft? First you remove the nut on each end. Then does the retainer and bushing slide out or does it unscrew out? I have the same question about the lower control arm shaft. Thank-you for the help!

Threaded bushings will unscrew. Hold a drift through shim pack bolt hole while removing bushings. Before installation, grease parts with a light coating of lube (lithium, anti sieze, bearing grease, etc...). Check depth at grease zerk hole with cotter pin. You want equal depth from front to rear. Keep shim packs identified for reinstallation. Torque assy. at curb height, and grease all fittings. Shouldn't change alignment that much, but wouldn't hurt to have it checked.

Pressed bushings require a press or experienced air hammer/dolly approach. Very LOUD procedure so wear ear protection and safety glasses. Hold dolly from backside of bushing and apply air hammer to control arm at bushing circumference in circular motion. Bushing will "walk" out of arm. Reverse for install. Again, coat bushing with light coat of grease.
