5/7 drop

Ok I lowered my truck 4/6 and its still a little to high. I bought my spindles and drop springs from early classic, my question is where do you buy 5/7 drop kits at?

Re: 5/7 drop

In the front, get either a 2 or a 3 inch drop spring. That will give you 4.5 or 5.5 inches of drop depending on which you choose. I've never seen a 2.5 inch drop front coil anywhere. I like to use Summit racing springs myself. They are cataloged for 73-87, but interchange all the way back to 63. Plus, when you unbox them, they are actually Ground Force brand springs in a Summit box and no one beats the price.

In the rear, I have never seen a spring that drops lower than 6 inches. You'll need to run a 1 inch lowering block for that last inch.

You either need to cut the front springs, or buy a 1-1.5" dropped spring, for the rear you can get a longer rear shackle or a 1" block.

If you want a drop spring for the rear you will have to get them made. I had Steve's Suspension build me a set that are 6" drop, but they won't hold over 600lbs of load.

Re: 5/7 drop

I'm assuming, going by his name, that he has a 72. Unless it's a 72 with rear leafs, he won't have a shackle option. Assuming it's coil spring, 6 inch drop coil is as low as anyone sells, so he has to use the lowering block.

correct, and if you go to 7", you're gonna have to c-notch the frame as well. Be prepared to cut. :)
