Monojet problems, need help
I have a 250 I6 with a one barrel monojet and I can't get it to run right. It will idle fine and then it will just start losing idle and die. It dies even faster if you let the clutch out(3 on the tree). Is there a secret tuning step or something? Thanks

Re: Monojet problems, need help
Not much to tune on them. Did you check and see if the manifold is tight where it meets the head? Try looking for other vaccuum leaks.(carb base, vac lines throttle shaft) Chris

I had something like that problem before I rebuilt my carb. After the rebuild that problem went away, but others popped their heads out. Did you rebuild it yet?

Re: Monojet problems, need help
eaziest carb ive ever worked on.... tear it down, buy a 1 gal can of the good carb cleaner (only at autoparts stores, round these norhtern parts try auto value) and soak it all.. a good "standard" rebuild kit, and new float... blow it all out, and set everything up to fac specs... will work like a charm.. i did mine on my 74 and worked beautifully... need any help let me know....
