Big Window / Small Window

My 62 p/u has the BIG rear window, but the cabs roof is pretty well rusted out along the drip rail. I have access to a clean no rust 61 cab with the small rear window. other than the size what is the differnce. Is one more rare than the other, is one more desirable to have.

Thanks
the new guy

From my experience, the big window is preferred by most. It was an added cost option.

All you have to do is cut the sheet metal from the outside to fit the big window. Then remove the inside panel from the big window and install it into the small window cab. I have done it on a truck years ago. Fairly easy and you have all the parts to do it. Drill out the spot welds for the inside panel.

Thanks Frizz, for the press! I didn't have to post anything! cool!:metal: In case you don't know Frocky, I'm finishing up a big back window conversion at the moment.-

Got the "new" dash in and I've welded all the "extra" holes in the cab that I don't need. (especially that big round one on the corner just behind the driver's side door handle). I have the first coat of body filler on and I should be ready for primer by Sunday. Before I button everything up though, I'm going to dry fit the big back glass just to be sure everything is going to fit after the conversion. ....measure twice - paint once!
