What exactly is your guage doing?
Yes, the brown wire goes to that tem on the fuse box.

hi
i picked up a solid truck that was striped---replaced the front and under dash wiring from another 67 truck--put a new sub. tank and sender in rear---gauge always reads full---grounded the port at fuse block with no diference in reading

thanks
bob

If it is right at the FULL, and does not respond to grounding the guage wire, you are probably looking at not having power to the guage...the 12 volts to the back of it.
If it is way past full....like at the 3 o'clock position, you have the fuel sender wire grounded somewhere.
Being that you have chainged to another kind of tank, this may make things a little interesting, but troubleshooting should all be the same in reality.

I'm starting to doubt this....some one confirm or deny this for me...it's been too long.
