frame differences and repairs

does anyone know the difference between a 1974 shortbed fleetside frame and a 1986 chevy suburban frame. i need to figure out the fastest and most efficient way to get my frame welded up. the reason i ask about these two vehicles is because i have one of each. thanks!

The Burb is longer and different. You cant swap them.

As long as the frame is the same C-chanel size you could frunt clip it but you better plate the frame thats if your frame is bent if you just want the bolt on parts it should all bolt in

From the front cab mount forward they are the same. They do make repair kits for these if it is broken at the steering box.
