Are you still running a closed Knuckle front axle?

Yes I am,what doesnt look right is the, I guess its called the draglink from the pitman arm to the arm on the knuckle. I have a LMC truck mag that shows the part and mine doesnt even come close to looking like it, and of course this part is not available. OK got my assembly manual out and they call the part a connecting rod assembly. I guess I could use two tie rod ends and a connector? Let me know Jeremy

It’s the draglink I'm trying to figure out. Obviously its not the stock one, somebody rigged this one up. My pitman arm has a threaded 3/4 hole and the steering arm also has a 3/4 hole. So my question is do they make tie-rod ends to fit that size hole? I know I will have to taper the steering arm and the pitman arm for the taper on the tie-rod. Here is a picture of what I have now. Thanks.

I guess the heim joints will work for a draglink?

I just threw one of those away last month from a 69... dang it! I'll look around and see what I can find. Are you wanting to replace your drag link back to stock? It looks solid from the pic but.... lives are riding on the quality of work, yours included.

Re: 60-66 4x4 steering

I asked around on some 4x4 boards and there saying its stronger or just as strong as the tie rod made draglinks. So I ordered some new parts to rebuild it. Thanks Jeremy
