trans swap??
 

i have a 69 lwb c25 2wd gm performance 383/375 with a 4 speed truck trans (465 i think) and a 4.10 D60 im getting a 3.54 D60 from a friend and want a OD manual anybody got any suggestions as to which trans would hold up in this heavy old FAST beast??

it really dosent even need to be a 5 speed i just want something i can speed shift taking off at the strip is fast but every shift i lose ALOT of time with the truck 4 speed.i want to make the 1/4 mile time decently fast and still have a fun truck to drive and not just a drag truck:metal: any help is appreciated greatly:b69:

could get a 4 spd saginaw or munci. hurst makes a shifter for both of the transmission if you put them in a truck. got a 4 spd saginaw in mine with the hurst shifter in it and love it. chris.

Search the forums for A833 and maybe MY6. Myself and others have posted about it. Gm had a 4 speed overdrive from about 81-86. I think they are great.
