Master Cylinder gasket?

Do you need a gasket between the MC mounting flange and the brake booster, I noticed my original MC had one when I took it off.

Re: Master Cylinder gasket?

i have never seen one on these trucks..i suppose you could..but, it's just going to make your rod shorter...mines to short all ready:rolleyes:

your not talking about the rubber seal in the brake booster right? that should be there...i am thinking your talking about something looking like a water pump gasket. right?

Re: Master Cylinder gasket?

You don't need it. there is a weep there to let fluid out if the master leaks anyway. I have seen them before but I never put them back in. the front and back halves of a booster are sealed by the diaphram and the rubber insert inside where the master cylinder bolts and the master is sealed internally I think the gasket was just a dust seal
