camshaft Q'ssss
I'm going to rebuild my stock 350 and am wondering what cam to use. I have a comp cams 280H but I don't want the thing to rattle my teeth loose when idling at a stop light but I do want a liitle lope. I'm going to use heads off my old street stock motor because they can handle a nice lift. Any suggestions would be helpful. Oh yea I've got th350 tranny w/2200 stall.

Going to need to give us a little more info, what compression ratio are you going to run? What are the numbers on the heads, what intake are you wanting to run, do you want hydrolic cam, hyd roller, solid lift?

For a mostly stock rebuild, maybe mildly worked heads, an intake and headers, I'd run the Crane Energiaer 266. Excellent torque and power with a nice idle. Can't beat the $80 price tag with lifters, either.

I'm running about 9:1 with the heads 76cc chambers mildly ported with 1.94-1.50 valves. I want a hydraulic cam for the low maintenece and cant afford a roller. I don't know the # on the heads right off hand but they worked well on my 355 with .504 lift. I'm going to run a performer rpm intake but the cam they offer is a little to big I think. For carb I want to run and edel. 1406 but I now have a holley 650 vacume secondaries. That motor is DONE lets just say KABOOM.
