Re: 81 swb fleetside
Did you bench bleed the MC when you put it on? Is it losing fluid, like a bleeder screw or a line is loose? Wheel cylinders?

Re: 81 swb fleetside
New rear wheel cylinders, I just replaced wheel bearings this past weekend and the brake lines looked dry, the M/C had been bench bled prior to mounting on the truck, but before the new M/C the brakes were always soft and no panic brakes

Re: 81 swb fleetside
ahh mine are also soft but that is because i need new rear pads and drumbs. I am guessing you checked these but how are the pad s and rear drumbs? they may have beened turnned or worn too much.

Re: 81 swb fleetside
The drums still have good life in them and the pads are brand new, before I put new rear pads the brakes were still spongie

Re: 81 swb fleetside
It's a stretch but what about the rubber hoses going fron the frame to the calipers and axel? They can soften and flex over time...

Re: 81 swb fleetside
Was there fluid in the MC when you took it off the vise and put it in the truck? If not, theres still tons of air in the line.

Re: 81 swb fleetside
if there is air in the M/C would you see bubbles in the M/C as you push the brake
