couple ?'s
How can you tell if you have a double wall top?
How heavy are the top's? |
Re: couple ?'s
Double wall......bolts bottom up......single wall....top down. Double wall....like I have.....no idea on weight.......but I'd guess from lifting mine....about 200-ish.....Single wall weight....I have no experiance on that one.....

Re: couple ?'s
I've got the double wall then I guess too. Is one more valuable than the other? My dad and I took mine off and it was pretty tough. Three people would make more sense.

Re: couple ?'s
I've heard that more people want the singles.....but I personally like my double.....Three people definately works better......The single wall tops also have curteousy lights on one side I think....:)

Re: couple ?'s
Patch got most of it right, Yes a single has dome lights in it, the same
oval type like in a regular cab truck, the advantage to a Single wall is that IF you have rear cargo panels they will have to be removed with a double, where as in a Single wall since it bolts from the top down the panels do not need to be removed to get the top off, and if you have a 72 model it is possible that your bed rails are drilled for both, because they do NOT use the same mounting holes to bolt on except in the frt. on top of the windsheild, and in the back near the tailgate, cya later ;) |
