Did the column shortening yesterday- Thanks Putter- worked out nice except the shift indicator is WAY off. Searched and found nothing.
What did I f-up? How do I get it back in alignment? Thanks -Chris |

In the engine room you have the rod that goes from the ransmission to the colum. Where the rod connects to the coloum there is the bolt that holds it to the colum. Losen it up and drop the bolt further down the rod until you get it where you wnat it.

Re: Shifter indicator alignment
If I remember, on mine I did some adjusting where the column arm thing meets the linkage. Kind of a 2 person job. One in the cab puts the lever on the indcator spot, the other under the hood slides the linkage shaft and then tightens up the " bolt with the hole ". With the motor OFF from underneith you can listen / feel for cliks in the tranny to see if it's hitting the geer selection points. Fine tune as neccesary. Hope this helps.
