Cab?
70 and 72 cab, are they the same cabs? Thanks, Greg

Re: Cab?
There were minor differences, but nothing that should inhibit a changeover. Purists might know when looking, but I doubt anybody else would.

Re: Cab?
I am thinking about a chopped top, the 70 cab has a good top and rotten bottom, my 72 has a good bottom but rusty above the w/s.

Re: Cab?
what year did they switch from 3 door bumpers to just two?

Re: Cab?
The r/v mirror on the 72 was mounted to the windshield, and on the 71 and earlier it was mounted on the cab. A 71 cab will have a raised area for the mirror , the others will not

Re: Cab?
Cab vent in the door jamb area also tells the tell..

Re: Cab?
....and the firewalls are different: 67-70 & 71-2 due to the mounting shapes for the accellerator pedals.
The fuse panels were also different, so I think the firewall holes for them are also different. |
Re: Cab?
pretty sure fuse box was the same for 69-72
68 and earlier were turned horizontally. so 70 vs 72 you are looking at mirror hole in cab on 70 none on 72 (mounts windshield vent on door jamb on 72 none on 70 different holes for foot feet bracket mount 2 studs sticking up from floor(for foot feet bottom) on 70 none on 72 and a square hole on the 72 for the accel cable round on 70 different size id plates and gvw plates |
