rear window
I have a sliding rear window on my 70 that is all messed up and I plan to replace with a solid piece of glass.
Are the window seals the type that can be installed by putting a cord in the groove and pulling it out over the metal lip or do they have to be glued in? |
Re: rear window
the do not have to be glued in they are pressure fit

Re: rear window
make sure they are supple (warm) and some kind of lube and you will be fine

Re: rear window
Thanks for the quick replies. I've replaced these type of seals in vw's. I usually let the seals sit on the driveway for an hour to warm up before installing, then use 12 ga wire and soapy water to install

Re: rear window
since its the rear window definitely make sure you have a buddy to help hold it in place and apply pressure
