rear window

I have a sliding rear window on my 70 that is all messed up and I plan to replace with a solid piece of glass.
Are the window seals the type that can be installed by putting a cord in the groove and pulling it out over the metal lip or do they have to be glued in?

Re: rear window

make sure they are supple (warm) and some kind of lube and you will be fine

Thanks for the quick replies. I've replaced these type of seals in vw's. I usually let the seals sit on the driveway for an hour to warm up before installing, then use 12 ga wire and soapy water to install

Re: rear window

since its the rear window definitely make sure you have a buddy to help hold it in place and apply pressure
