Air Bag System

Is there anyone using air bags with schrader valves and no compressor or valves? I'm wanting to do bags for strictly ride height only. Once I get it where I want it ,it will be static. What are the pros and cons? Merry Christmas!!

What would be the purpose of this? I guess you could do that but what happens if you have a small leak or the bags looses a little air how are you going to fill it up? I think it would be better to buy a small compressor and the min amount of valves so you can air it up if you need too. Are you trying to do a budget install? Good luck!

Mine is on Schrader valves while it's in the "build" stage. I see no problem with it and haven't had a problem with leaks due to the fact that there are fewer connections.

With that being said, the truck will have on board compressor and tanks when it's back on the road. In my mind, the whole purpose of having the air bags is the adjustability in ride height.

If you are truly looking for a static drop, then check into drop springs. Less money and less headaches.

Early Classic would be my recommendation.

i have this set up on the rear only of my 71. Its been this way a little over a year and works fine. I bought one of those cheap bicycle tire compressors for about $15 and keep it under my seat. The only problem I have had is if you put any amount of weight in the back you need to add air, and with the little compressor it takes a few minutes.

Pack a bike pump and get a workout while you're at it.
