TH350 Questions

First off, I haven’t been to this site in years. It’s HUGE now- wow!!

I am interested in information about 4X4 th350’s. are they shorter than a short shaft 350? Measuring from bell housing to end of shaft, not end of case. Is the shaft splined the same as a regular 350? (28 spline) Or is it a gear that mates up with the gears in the transfer case?

Thank you for your time!

Re: TH350 Questions

The main case is the same. The 4x output shaft sticks out the back of the case about 1''

Re: TH350 Questions

Yep,the case is the same, the difference is that on a 2wd the extension of the case for the longer shaft bolts to where the adapter plate would bolt to for a 4x4.
And as Stan said....There is a "K" in the case of a 4x4 TH350.
